I'm looking for a GUI filemanager that has a "Bluetooth send" function for Sharp ROM.
I found this thread about gpe-filemanager, but it is for OpenZaurus only. It has an option to "send file via Bluetooth" "Gui For Sending Files Via Bluetooth?" http://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showt...gpe-filemanager Digging around in OZ feeds, I found these packages: gpe-filemanager_0.20-r0_arm.ipk [Sept 2004] gpe-filemanager_0.25-r1_arm.ipk [March 2006] These won't install in my Cacko ROM C3100. Is there a way to "make" one of these to work for Sharp ROMs If one of these cannot be re-compiled to work in Sharp ROM, are there any other GUI filemanagers out there with a "Bluetooth Send" function? Thank you, Jon |

What about any of the other filemanagers available for Zaurus, such as: advancedfm_1.5.0-20020515_arm filelaunch-en_0.4.5-0.1_arm qpe-filemanager_1.5.0-1_arm opie-advancedfm |

QUOTE(Meanie @ May 16 2006, 11:14 PM) Thank you Meanie, I don't have a clue as to how to write a script, (at least a complicated one for bluetooth). I'm still going through the 189 page book, "Bluetooth Revealed" It took me almost 3 weeks just to get BT PAN working correctly, (not sure if it's 100% correct, but I can surf with BT now). I'll try scouring google for BT script related stuff. A very helpful page for Palm & Windows users on BT and networking: http://forum.brighthand.com/showthread.php?t=71183 And the major BT help page, mentioned in above thread, that got me & my Palm Zire 72 connected: http://www.whizoo.com/bt_setup/ |

You could compile gpe-filemanager for your Sharp-based ROM (there's a setting for it in OE iirc), however gpe-filemanager will require all of the GPE (and therefore X11) libs, etc., so you will most probably better off with a script (or with flashing to OZ/GPE

I have filelaunch (filelaunch-en_0.4.5-0.1_arm) from Meanie's site.
It's a very complex filemanager and I haven't even begun to utilize all the features. I haven't even began to write a script, so compiling is out of the question for me. I may know these things in a couple years or so. I have no programming experience. I have samba working and USB mass storage working, so I'll transfer files from my Z to my PC that way for now. Thank you all for your replys Jon |
