Hi,
Today I was in the mood of flashing the cacko rom onto my zaurus slc3100. Looks nice but there is the following quite annoying problem: Does somebody experience a similar problem: I use the German keyboard layout (fn+a -> ä ...). When I run qkonsole, the characters are displayed fine but when I run vim (6.3) or emacs, the characters are garbled. Apparantly, a blank is appended to äöü characters. ß (fn+s) appears as #[1m~_ (the # is a non-printable character here. Does somebody know how to avoid this? Could this problem be related to qkonsole (a patch to qkonsole)? Interestingly vim and emacs are both affected by this. Only on the bash command line, the characters appear to be correct. Cheers, Thomas. |

Bluetooth recommendations? I have a blue monkey. With Cacko 1.21a and 1.23 each time I resume it ejects and reinserts. Not always a problem, at times the network icon does not appear. Is there a BT CF card that does not do this?
Thanks. |

At first, its a great rom, I use it on my C1000.
I'm not shure, if my question is right here, but ... I'm using fbvncserver-C3000_0.9.4-0.2_arm.ipk an run into some problems: After solving some problems with missed symlinks, starting the server and making a connection with a vnc viewer to my C1000, every application crash with the following error: "error while loading shared libraries: /home/QtPalmtop/lib/lobqpe.so.1: undefined symbol, " - but the link is still there. and if it has crashed, and tried to restart, I get a " segmentation fault" This Problems didn't apear while using the original sharp rom. Perhaps someone has an idea in solving this little problem. |

There ist a hint to the Page http://qpegps.sourceforge.net/assets/gps_u...ps_6021_x6.html where is another link to http://www.iral.com:88/~albertr/zaurus/misc/serial_cs.o.gz I could not open it but found sources on http://www.iral.com:88/~albertr/linux/misc/ but I did use the binary from the qpegps download section. This is the information I can give without warrenty. Please ask the qpegps guys (and maybe girls ;-) ) Regards and thanks |

Unfortunately, it is not. Apparently I have one of the "no compat" ones. Could you tell me if any of this cards is supported by 1.23 and if there are versioning issues (such as the Ambicom's BT2000-CF) that you are aware of?. I think the easiest fix is just to buy one that is already supported:
Belkin http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00006HYL...ronics&v=glance Billonton http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006JMMH...ronics&v=glance Socket Communications http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000ANLCQ...ronics&v=glance Are there any other issues, strenghts, need for tweaking to set up, etc? Thank you in advance for your input. QUOTE(maslovsky @ Nov 23 2005, 08:54 AM)

Thank you in advance for your input. All of these cards are supported OOTB by Cacko ROM. Socket doesn't stick out of CF slot. There are no other noticable differences between the cards. Most modern bluetooth cards are based on CSR chipset and are almost the same... |

Installed Cacko on my recently acquired 3100 so far works great as one would expect.
THANKS, Maslovsky! Question: Does Cacks have the latest Tetsu V18b kernel in it? If not, should I install it plus all those patches? Thanks for any input! Mark |

QUOTE(ArchiMark @ Dec 12 2005, 09:33 PM) Question: Does Cacks have the latest Tetsu V18b kernel in it? Yes, and much more than that. A lot of drivers have been back ported from the latest 2.4.32 kernel. |
