I ordered mine from Newegg yesterday, 20GB Linux version of course. Should be here Thursday according to UPS. I can't wait for it's larger screen and more powerful capabilities (hooray for non-underclocked FSB). The storage bump is nice too, as I could actually have the SD card slot open to take pictures from my camera's card, instead of needing it filled for the EEE's own storage.

After all the problems I'm finding in getting my 701 working I'll definitely keep away from ASUS for the rest of my life.
I wrote to them last night complaining that they are still violating GPL because the sources they have released are not the ones used on the eeepc (or at least need patches that are not documented). |

I'm actively considering one for my daughter and/or my wife, neither of whom are, er, gentle with their technology, so if I buy them an Eeee or a Mininote, I won't cry as much when they break it!

I upgraded to a 900 from a 701 and am very happy. Screen is MUCH more usable then the 701's. The extra HD space is nice, but I had a 8gig SD before so mostly works the same.
