I am in New York City, USA. I would be willing to get the chips from the supplier and ship them out to people. I would have to find out the best way to ship chips internationally.

It might be cheaper to deal with just one or two people in UK/Europe who will get cheaper posting within the EU area. I'm sure everyone will agree with me that we will ensure you are not left out of pocket. |

Hello
I'm personally taking 3 for 2 good friends who what the same modification done. bgsfh, I'm emailing you the seller details, along with the chips we need. Everybody here who wants one should contact bgsfh. As soon as I get my chip, I'll solder it and report results. But anyone can do the same :-) It just requires finding an electronic shop which can solder such tiny contacts. Guylhem |

Hi, I am also interested in the memory expansion for the 6000.
I got my 6000l few moths back, and I will like to make the most of it. Could you please count me in in the purchase, and if there is any way I can help let me know. I leave in Houston, TX. Regards. Alejandro |

Is this something that a person with mediocre soldering skills could do? Is special soldering gear needed? And most important of all, will the Guylhem rom support these changes?

Guylhem Try a university electronics shop/technical college. most electronics / tv repair / pc repair places wont have surface mount equipment. although some specialist development companies would. ie your more likely to find the tools at a microelectronic engineering company not a radio shak. |
