I am unable to edit the wiki. It automatically changes the first letter of my alias to a capital letter. Look:
Login error: There is no user by the name "Sdjf". Check your spelling, or use the form below to create a new user account. Your user name: sdjf________________ Log in Your password: ____________________ I typed "sdjf". It read that as "Sdjf". This "bug" may be one reason there is little editing happening there...too much hassle. sdjf |

No they're not fixed and I'm kinda stuck right now. We're pretty sure upgrading to the latest version of IPB would fix it, but I dont have access to our costumer section in the IPB website so I need to find someone who does.

If you think more admins would help, I was serious in volunteering in that post. Any way good luck in your efforts to try and sort the bugs out in the forum. Cheers |

I loved the idea behind the ZUG downloads but we need to punch offroadgeek in the gut to get him workin... If ti means using an old archive version of phpnuke or going over to a totally new CMS i'll do whatever I can to help. that is, aling with work and school... the bastards... always taking my time away from my love of techl |

As for the Wiki, I'll see what I can do about opening it up. A couple months ago I spent f'in hours cleaning it up and locking certain pages. That obviously wasn't enough.. |

I was just browsing through the files and I noticed a 2.4 gig .tar file uploaded. I'm downloading it now. Hopefully it's the files from the downloads.
I'm also looking at upgrading the Wiki as well. |

I'm also looking at upgrading the Wiki as well. Hi dz, hope you are right about the tar file! As you may notice I've been reverting spam about twice a day for the past week or so. I'm pretty persistent though bots don't get tired! But I'm stubborn enough to keep going. If the wiki gets upgraded, might there not be some anti-bot bots? I'm sure too that I'm not the only one willing to be an extra admin if that would be a help. A lot of these bots seem to reappear and , perhaps naively, I thought indefinite bans would help a bit? Cheers with all your efforts. PS Kudos to Meyer whose id turns up regularly reverting the spam! |

I've also offered to be an admin (I've been, amongst other things, a senior sysadmin at an ISP, sysadmin & security specialist at a bank's ecommerce division, so I hope I'm no fool!) but seems otr, dz and the team are too busy to even decide whether to appoint any more admins. |

It's not that. The site isn't fully mine so I don't always feel 100% right just adding admins without talking to the other guys. Obviously they've been MIA for a while so it's a lil different I suppose, but I still dont like to jump into that kind of decision. Remember, I'm still really the new guy mod. |

It's no problem. I don't blame all of you for being frustrated. I would be as well if I was in your shoes. I just can't really do anything on my end right now :-/ So i downloaded that 2.something gig file and I can't f'in find it.. How the hell did I lose a 2 gig file? Anyway, I'll open that up as soon as I find it and let you know what's in it. Edit: Found it. Seems to be ~9,000 files in there so I'd imagine there's something that could come in handy. |
