For about a year I own a zaurus sl-5600. Until now, I have been carrying around my zaurus without a case in my pocket. Only the screen is protected with a plastic cover. The buttons stay uncovered, so the device is switched on and off and starting applications by accident all day, draining the battery. I recently found that Piel Frama made a leather case for the 5500. That case would prove very useful for my zaurus sl-5600. But I wonder if the case fits the 5600, despite the bigger battery.
Someone tried it yet? |

Someone tried it yet? No idea about Piel Frama, but you could do worse than ThePouch.com for a neoprene case. They handsew cases individually ordered for a quite reasonable price. I got one, works for my Z5500. disclaimer -- no connection to ThePouch.com save being a satisfied customer. |

I can only guess the piel frama for the 5500 would not fit because they are usually a snug fit as it is. On the other hand I am also very pleased with my cases from the pouch.com. I've had one for my 5500 and one for my 760. They are not sheik like a leather case, but they are very protective and water resistent.

there is a SL-6000 case on ThePouch.com. How do the 5500/5600 compare in dimensions to the 6000?

I bought one and it fits! Despite the bigger battery compartment of the SL-5600, the leather is flexible enough to contain it and look pretty as well.

The pouch.com will custom make it for any device. Just give them the dimensions and a picture. That's why I can't use my 760 pouch on the 3100. It was a snug (in a good way) fit before and now it is too snug.
