QUOTE(bam @ Dec 14 2005, 02:04 PM) hmmm seems Shadowmite has been busy, perhaps I will ask him to look into sdio for the 3100(cant remember if it has that or not) Very neat. I may have to think twice about upgrading my own Treo. If they can get Bluetooth and the cellular radio working I'll be very impressed indeed. Shadowmite is a hacker, he may have reverse engineered the PalmOS drivers, in which case the drivers might not port over to the Zaurus so well. I can't tell right now because his site has been slashdotted... |

The engadget article you linked to is over a year old. If that's what ypu mean by "SDIO driver" then it isn't what you think. He took the driver from the Tungsten T5, with a similar hardware design to the Treo, and hacked the drivers to override some checks that made sure it was actually running on a T5. After those checks were removed, the driver functioned on the Treo, albiet unstably.
It was a cool hack, but not even close to a Linux SDIO driver. |

I shouldn't read slashdot articles and believe them so readily. sigh. |

I was on the verge of looking up the moedel number and distro and ordering a treo that I could linuxize. Guess I'll stick with taking my wife's nokia in trade for one of those clamshell LGs |
