You should only get that when installing Firefox. It tries to write some files to /usr/apps which is a read-only file system on the stock Sharp ROM. Doesn't matter though, it's just desktop files and stuff not necessary.
You can run it fine without these bits anyhow. |

I mounted the root file system as rw and tried installing firefox and ratpoison again and got the same error message on both.
This is really pretty wierd. Oh well, firefox works pretty well using the cramfs, it's just slow because it's running from my SD card. Thanks for all the help. Doug |

I now have Firefox 1.5 installed on /home and the base cramfs installed on my SD card.
I'm using the Fluxbox window manager. Even though it's a little slow, it is somewhat faster than running Firefox from the apps cramfs. I think it's the best I'm going to get with no hard drive. Thanks again for the help. Doug |
