C760, c860 or sl-6000 Options

I'm thinking of selling my 5500 and my c700 (when I get it fixed) but I still want a zaurus.

should I go with C760, c860 or sl-6000??

I know that there's not much difference btwn the 760 and 860, but hte case looks nicer (dunno if it's worth the extra $$ )

I want the features that 6000 have (builtin bluetooth and wifi) but I really dont want to go back to the tablet design after using clamshell design

Or maybe this is about a Japanese release again right ?
I have never felt so frustrated by any other company as Sharp with its frequent release (or news of release like SL-6000) and not be able to get one directly in hand - everything is outside of the US.

Just on a whim I did a Google search for 'Zaurus SL-C960' and it turned up what appears to be a technical document talking about faults or errors encountered in some type of development effort.

The document references the SL-C870 & SL-C960, but no specific information about features or specifications. Looks like the rumor could be true.

There are referrences to 870 and a 960 in that page. Here is what I got from babel fish. Not really sure what CSide is though it looks like they have a few test machines that are not on the market or someone can not type. Though 870 and 960 are both used several times in the readme. So we can hope.

i agree that someone can't type. there are only two references to 960, so it could be one typo. every other instance of mentioning model numbers lists them in ascending order, except this one: i guess it's meant to say 860, 870, rather than 960, 870. Since 870 is referenced repeatedly, and in the name of an ipk (much less likely to be misspelled), I believe that one. However, I still don't know what its features are.

You can always try following the Sharp Zaurus - Japan site, not that it will necessarily show the latest and greatest. However, I would think that any product release in Japan would be mentioned there. They can't be THAT bad!

I wouldn't bet too much on the CSIDE document. It's just a typo.
For anyone interested, CSIDE is the equivalent of Codewarrior IDE for Zaurus in Japan.

But I would be interested in knowning about future releases

On one Japanese 2ch site, some anonymous user said that Sharp will be announcing the SL-C970 on March 17.

I guess just wait and see.
