I used hentges rom based on OZ 3.5.2 on Collie
I can't find any working pdf & chm reader. I tried qpdf2 but got a problem with qpe-base depedence. So, I opened Package Manager(AQPkg) to find qpe-base to install but it did not in the list. So where is it ? |

Use ABC chm converter,http://www.thebeatlesforever.com/processtext/abcchm.html, convert chm files into html files and use browser to read.
I hope this interim solution will help. |

the package is called 't1lib' for some reason. install that, link that (if needed), then try qpdf2. There has been quite a lot of discussion about a qpdf and trying to get any pdf reader working, but as far as I know no-one has got round to sorting one out, however:
I recently installed t1lib and qpdf2 and have found that it does actually work. It sigsevs if you start it using the icon, but I found that it worked fine when you open a file on the docs tab with it. Then I told it to open the last pdf on each boot and now it works fine from the icon. So- it may be a little buggy and you may have to go round sometimes, but it is possible to use it. Hope this is useful Simon |

After you install the 't1lib', open your 'qpdf.desktop' file and change the line
'Exec=qpdf' to 'Exec=qpdf -d 0' Credit goes to Teletubbie for posting this fix. Greg |

Finally, I found the problem. t1lib in hesges feed is broken. It complained about missing t1lib.so.5
I tried to change setting in ipkg.conf to oz.pdai.org (mirror) and it worked. |

Hello,
I'm getting this complaint too, and I can't find t1lib on pdai.org. What's the full url you added to ipkg.conf? Or if it has been removed from the pdai mirror, does anyone have a copy of it? Thanks, Harry. |

It's there, and I think that's the one I used (which worked). Check that the libs feed is added to the servers list (some are not there by default, though I don't think libs is one of them). Hope this helps Simon |
