I'm pretty sure the installation is okay, I followed the instructions properly, but it doesn't want to work. When I go into Qtopia Desktop, all of the sync options are grey/unusable, and I'm sure that the IP address is correct (192.168,129,1, I'm using ROM 3.1). I even tried downgrading the ROM to 2.38, it says unable to connect to Zaurus (again, I'm sure that the IP is correct). However, Windows sees the device fine, and associates it properly with the drivers, it just doesn't work with syncing. Anyone?

Just switched back to Sharp 3.13 from OZ, and I cannot get it to sync with QTopia desktop at all, using USB TCP or USB I/O.
I am running Win2K, and QTopia 1.7 |

Exactly the same problem here too (SL-5500).
Followed the instructions, read all the FAQs, still no solution. I can ping from both side successfully but I can't sync. Zaurus PC Link has been set to USB-TCP/IP, 192.168.129.201 As soon as I plug Zaurus into the cradle, a network device is recognised and assigned an IP of 192.168.129.1 Pinging from Zaurus and PC works, but when I set the Zaurus Manager to USB-TCP/IP, I get the message "Ensure the Zaurus and docking statation are connected to your PC". I'm using Sharp ROM 3.10. Could somebody kindly provide me a solution or should this problem been answered somewhere deep in the forum, please point me to the right direction, I tried searching but I've found nothing really helpful so far. Thanks. |

Ok, after searching deeper into the forum, I've managed to find this:
http://www.oesf.org/forums/inde...wtopic=5982&hl= But the steps described here involves too many things, I simply change the driver by going to Device Manager > USB Controller > SL (Series) WDM, and change the driver by browsing to the newly downloaded installation CD files (you can find the file in the link above), select the driver in USBDriver (slz1unic.inf, the WDM driver). Change PCLink on Zaurus to USB-IO, then happy syncing |
