I was looking for a driver for Sharp's CF camera and found a thread that mentioned pdaxrom has a newer driver that works in 2.4.20 kernels.
I downloaded this ipk (zcamera_0.0.1-2_armv5tel.ipk) and like all the other ipks in this format, I couldn't open it to extract the file I was looking for. I tried this in both windows and on my Zaurus. In windows, I tried winrar, winzip, and pkunzip none of these worked. On my zaurus, I tried Meanie's ipktools package. I tried compatipk, unpackipk, and ar I also renamed the file to *.deb and tried deb2ipk I also tried ipkg-tools, and that didn't work. What do I need to have to extract a file from a pdaxrom armv5tel ipk? I think I finally found this driver, but I still need to know how to open and extract files from these ipks. I also did a LOT of searching and didn't find a method/program to open these. I searched for about 4 hours last night for a solution to this, besides installing pdaxrom. Sharp/Cacko ipks can be opened with many different programs. This is how I get a file, if I only need just one file that is inside an ipk. |

QUOTE(Jon_J @ Oct 12 2006, 05:15 PM) What do I need to have to extract a file from a pdaxrom armv5tel ipk? For a pdaXrom ipk using Linux or on your Z, you would do: tar xzf name-of.ipk tar xzf data.tar.gz |

Your'e right Meanie.
Most of the ipks I downloaded for pdaxrom have been posted in the forum and firefox buggers them up. All the pdaxrom feeds that I have saved in text files are now gone. (I got the links from your page last January) Why do they move so much? I don't usually use pdaxrom armv5tel ipks, but on the rare occasion when I have downloaded one, it was corrupted. |
