I'd like to get a second Z for development purpose. I thought about acquiring a clamshell, but finally decided to stay with Tosa, which will give me two identical machines for dev and testing.
Please PM me if you have a 6000L or 6000W for sale. I'm in the US. I hate paypal and ebay fees but no problem if required. |

Interesting that this would pop up. I have a 6000L that I used to do some embedded design, end result being a publishing. I now use the Z MUCH less than I used to use my Palm based device, for essentially a portable rolodex.
I spent the weekend going through the house looking for rarely used electronics to sell in order to raise money for a Macbook. The Z was one of the things I'm thinking of selling. BUT, there seems to be no recent indicator of it's cost. Mine has a 60X 1G SD card, and a 4G CF Microdrive. Firmware is original, and I've installed ZGCC and some other stuff on it. I've also got two docking sleds, a single power supply, an adaptor for an iGo universal power supply, a custom serial cable (RS-232) and the expansion pack. I've ALWAYS kept the glass protected with plastic. (Until I did my presentation. The plastic made the display show REALLY bad on camera.) Since then, it's been sitting lonely. It's not for sale yet, but could be very easily. What price could that list of stuff get me? |

I noticed a 6000 for sale on ebay, and it also has the rare
expansion sled. I've toyed with the idea of getting rid of my 6000 also, but can't seem to bring myself to part with it just yet. Unfortunately mine has some small screen scratches from the previous owner, and no flip cover, so I doubt I'll ever get enough for it to be able to let it go. I'm also curious as to the worth of the 6000 these days, and wondering what the one on ebay will sell for, but again it is complex, since it includes the expansion sled which is very rare. |

WOW, that's a lot of goodies, esp with the sled. I would say at least $650, if not more, if I were you. The fact is that I've already got my own set of accessories. So a vanilla 6000L or 6000W without extras suites me best. |

Yeah, I think I'm going to sell it.
I've got this museum of computers I'm going to sell, and the Z seems to be the only way to get myself up to serious cash for a Macbook. I'll put a note on Craigslist for the Atlanta Area asking $800 later today. Let's see what happens. |

I'd be very interested in buying an expansion sled for mine, when I get it fixed.

QUOTE(xjqian @ Feb 1 2007, 04:37 PM) QUOTE(Little_Goomba @ Feb 1 2007, 09:42 AM) Please post a link when you do. I'm interested in the 6000L itself. Maybe speculatrix and I can split the deal, as I've already got a sled. I'm definitely up for a sled, so xjqian, I'll back you up on this deal. I accept fully that P&P to England won't be cheap and will be my responsibility. |

There you go. I may regret this, but I'll consider parting stuff out. Just noticed, someone asked if I had two expansion sleds. To clarify, I have two DOCKING sleds and one EXPANSION sled |
