hi, all:
I'm glad to announce that I have updated the murphytalk input method to support 1) the associated phrase hint 2) to support input the Chinese phrase like pi'ao /xi'an like phrases by using ' MurphyTalk is a simplified Chinese input method. Hope it helps! [updated] Added the screen selection for associated phrases. -- Chen This post has been edited by chyang: Oct 22 2006, 12:44 AM

On an slightly unrelated topic, I see you have a 5500. Do you know if there re any native (simplified) Chinese ROMS for the 5500? |

I believe there is no native Chinese distribution for 5500. While there is a native Chinese version 5600 and 7500, but neither is available for public.
I wonder what your mean regarding native?By installing only Chinese font, it can support Chinese pretty well. |

(better than my putonhua though ;0) wo shi waiguoren) so I thought I would send him my Z5500 with a Chinese native ROM so he could play. Im guessing that there's more work involved changing all the application text to chinese than translating a few files. |

I remembered on Zaurus Software Index, there is a link to a Taiwan site with native Chinese support, but I wonder it is in simplified Chinese or not. Another suggestion is to select a SL-7500C in China, it is a $200 less PDA now. But I'm afraid that your wife's cousin will like it or not. Z is a difficult start for a novice. |
