 Usb Stowaway Keyboard Keymapping Script, Anyone have one? |

Hey, I'm running Cacko 1.23 with a C1000 and just bought a Fellowes Stowaway USB Keyboard. I read in Meanie's book that one could write a script to automatically map the keys correctly when the USB keyboard is plugged in and then switch it back to the default when it isn't.
I'm pretty new to the Zaurus, can anyone just copy me their script and tell me where I need to key it in? It would be much appreciated! -Jacob |

I get that Keyhelper is supposed to allow me to get the USB keyboard's keys mapped correctly. But, for example, it won't let me key in "?" either on the Zaurus's built-in keyboard or the usb keyboard. In fact, when I type the ? key on the USB keyboard, nothing happens. So, how do I get this keyboard working correctly? |

Hi,
I have the same problem. I am using SL-C3100 + Cacko + Stowaway USB Keyboard and a bluetooth mouse. I tried Meanie's suggestion custominput_1.1.0 + usbkeyboard_0.1 ipks but it didn't work... If anyone knows how to do this or give some links it would be appreciated |

Just a quick bump. Has anyone done the remapping for that keyboard? I've been thinking of buying one.
I understand that it doesn't have an escape key.. can I remap another key combination to send an escape? |

Does anyone have any news about this?
Naively I imagine there are two steps: 1. create a keymapping for the Stowaway 2. do something to load and unload it when the keyboard is plugged in Any other suggestions or comments welcome. Right now I still reach over and type some things directly on the Z, and there are quite a few others I need to think hard to remember where they are on a Japanese keyboard, which seems quite unnecessary (shift-7 for a single quote, for example!) This doesn't have to do with the "?" key or the stowaway keyboard, but maybe some of the info here might help you out or give you some ideas.

I've got the automatic keyboard remapping working with another keyboard. I wouldn't want to buy a stowaway until I resolve the escape key remapping and learn that someone else has had success with the auto remapping.
