Hi All,
I have PocketWorkstation running on my C3000 and everything seems to work fine except for the networking. I am using the Cacko SLC3Kb1 ROM which recognizes my Wifi card perfectly and connects to my home wlan network. All of the Qtopia applications see the network correctly but none of the apps which run inside PocketWorkstation. PW apps don't see the network at all. I installed everything according to Meanie's page (he seems to have got enough support requests to discontinue the page As far as I know the host operating system should provide the network for PocketWorkstation so if it works under Cacko, it should work in PW too. Strange. Anybody an idea? |

i had this, it was failing to set up the dhcp. then i came across:
" The internet can be controlled through Qtopia as it always has been. However the up and down scripts don't create a resolv.conf file for the chroot environment when using DHCP. An easy hack is to add the line cp /etc/resolv.conf /usr/mnt.rom/cf/debroot/etc to the bottom of the /etc/pcmcia/network.functions files. Then reboot to make it effective. " |

" Thanks a lot, I will try it when I get home. Here at my company I can't connect the Z to the local network (strict networking policies...grrr). I can't wait to install abiword by apt-get on the debian PW instance, I didn't manage to install it on the Cacko ROM/Qtopia. |
