Well... after deleting libCRIM* and installing Meanie's ipk for Japanese support. My Cacko 1.23 appears to be going well in the Japanese department. My only problem is I've installed the dictionaries back from my CD-ROMs and created the symlinks to the /hdd3/dict1 and /hdd3/dict2 dirs. But the dictionary and translator programs are still not seeing them.
About 2 years after getting my Z, and I'm working on learning Japanese.. too bad I wasn't doing that when I first got it. I'm not sure what else needs to be done to get the dictionaries and translator working. Any help is appreciated.. Thanks. |

Hi,
Is the file "japanese-support-c1k_&_c860_1.23_supplementary.zip" still available somewhere ? I'm going to try this procedure to restore my C860 to a full Japanese dictionary and this is the only file I can't find online. Thanks, Peter. |
