All,
I am having some problems with the Cacko ROM 1.23 built-in utility to Add/Remove Programs to a C3200 device. The utility was in good working order until recently when i realised that if I start it from the Settings Tab and subsequently choose the Install packages option the utility more or less freezes. Thereafter, some services of the C3200 device are no longer available. I'll be grateful if anyone who has experience in this area is willing to give me some tips. I won't want to re-install the cacko ROM if I don't have to. Any ideas? Thanks in anticipation, Ashu --------------- Sharp Zaurus C3200, Cacko 1.23 ROM |

so how many times have you flashed your zaurus with the cacko rom 1.23? I have noticed flashing it many times over (at most 2 times) i begin to see problems with "lock-ups" What I did to correct this problem is to flash the sharprom and then flashback to the cacko rom.
Now If I wanted to reset cacko rom to the original state, i would just format the userpartition in the flash utility of the cacko 1.23. This helps me avoid the problem of flashing sharprom and then back to cacko 1.23 (but only after a successful first time cacko 1.23 flash) This post has been edited by Cresho: Aug 16 2007, 09:11 PM |

Formatting the user partition was a bitter bill which did resolve the problem and i can use all the features of my device. It wasn't that bitter though because no one should be playing with the C3200 at this level without successfully doing a backup apriori.
