I have a Zaurus c700 with a non-working touchscreen, but the LCD works.
So i was wondering is there some kind of utility that helps me using the zaurus? Liko moving the mouse cursor vise curosr keys or using a mouse or probably a bluetooth mouse (i have a CF BT card, but not a USB host CF card)... I would apreciate any help and consider the fact that i'm a total linux noob and have the zaurus only one day. Sorry for my bad english. |

You could
a/ use a bluetooth adaptor and a bluetooth mouse and keyboard b/ use a wifi adaptor and run VNC server on the Z however, in both cases, it'll be tricky to set up the Z without a working touchscreen in the first place! |

Hm, I think the Zaurus recognised that the TS is broken because it doesn't report it in a device manager so the calibration (screen aligment) isn't even needed.
VNC server is out of the question because i want to use it far from my PC, but using a BT mouse seems nice. How about the cursor pad on the Zaurus? Can that bu used to control the cursor? |

Of course...as it's been broken accidentally by...maybe...an over excited child standing on it for instance...would you not be eligible for a claim on your home insurance? |

Can that bu used to control the cursor? hmm, sorry, I can't help you there. I do know I connected up a USB keyboard & mouse to my 6000 host and everything just worked, so I would hope that bluetooth would too. you might have to reboot the zaurus into console mode in order to add some setup scripts to connect to the keyboard/mouse when it starts up. I know *in*theory*how* to do this, but *haven't* done it, so you'll need to find an expert, sorry. |
