My SL860 freezes when I take out either a card or wifi card from the cf slot. Complete lock-up. I am running beta2 with xfce4.
If it is a bug with beta2, can anyone suggest a workaround? I am almost resigned to shutting down whenever I want to swap out the CF. I am using the matchbox card applet by the way. Happy to use terminal if there is a code or script that will get me past this.

Thanks

This is a bug with the sd driver, you need to have a cf card when you use an sd card.
so eject the sd card then the cf card
or suspend the zaurus, echange the card, resume it

I haven't noticed any problems with my 860, with either beta1 or beta2. I always have my sd card in & I swap between a cf memory, wifi & nic. The only difference is that I'm still usiing matchbox. fwiw

hmm strange, this happens for me even at boot with beta2 and3
ie rebooting with a sd card without a cf card -> freeze

ok, I _am_ able to reproduce that. But it only froze after I logged in on the console, but before I started X.

Pgas, So I can suspend and just whip out the CF and put in another? Thought that would crash it for sure. Nothing to lose now.

I prefer to do it the 'proper' way, but I've done that without causing any problems.
