I have a new, unmodified, simpad and want to install opensimpad. I read the various postings here, the old forum, and the opensimpad.org wiki. What I can't figure out is where to get the hh.org bootloader. Can someone post a link to the actual file they used? I'm assuming it is one from handhelds.org but I can't determine which one. Thanks!

Is this one of the Simpads from the guy on Ebay who's selling them cheaply?

I'm flashing my SL4 with Opie image at this very moment! What a terrifying experience to watch how it erases/writes flash blocks...

Wow, I'm up and running opie! Thanks to reset, it now boots up.
Screen redraw feels faster than in Windoze (maybe partially due to lack of animation), but anyway it looks and feels faster and prettier. Thanks to all opie/OZ/OE developers, good job! -albertr |

QUOTE(guylhem @ Jun 22 2005, 07:42 AM) The only thing I really miss is a good PDF reader. Adobe on wince was much much better even with big documents I am still waiting for my Simpad (ground shipping from Arizona takes a long time The disadvantages of Open Simpad appear to be: lack of interest from the developers to update OS; lack of a good pdf reader. Anything else? |
