I just kept checking ebay. Maybe I just got lucky buying one. Was even new in the box, the box only had some water damage on it.

I've been here all the time 8^). I think most of the simpad traffic is going to the opensimpad site but that'll probably change when the new bootloader is officially released and/or the next version of the rom images are released.

Brand new. Says UK only, but maybe if you ask they'll ship to the US. Only a day left though.

I think Chris still didn't close the english opensimpad.org forum - he really should do it.

Personally I'm out of the loop though - I sold my SIMpad because I had way too many rarely used devices laying around here sad.gif

Thanks! I know more people in the UK than in Germany... so it would be much easier for me to get it.

Though I've bid 160 pounds and it says that the reserve hasn't been met... seems like this person is not wanting to let this go for cheap.

Anyone know what they went for new (retail)?

When they were introduced around 1000 EUR. When the grand sell out came they went for around 350 EUR. Nowadays I wouldn't pay more than 250 EUR for a new one.

Typically the german ebayers sell the Simpad for less than the UK ebayers. However, prices do fluctuate all the time. There is one UK seller with a 160 pound reserve who seems to have acquired an inventory of nearly new simpads. But used ones should be less.

Looks like I may win a bid for one on ebay.de. Is there someone in Germany who would be willing to receive the simpad for me, then send it to the US? (I of course would take care of all the shipping costs).

update: I won the item smile.gif

I actually didn't end up getting it... the ebay seller would only do a bank transfer and it would have cost an additional $40+ just for the transfer so I said screw it...

Besides... I should probably wait to find another job before I buy any more toys wink.gif

In case anyone is interested in a SL4 Simpad, I'm thinking of selling mine since I just don't get to play with it sad.gif

It's rarely used (I installed OpenSimpad 0.8x once) and comes with all accessories.

Shipping from Germany to anywhere. Payments via PayPal.
