Alright! I got 4.3 on the Zaurus compliments of gen2's great work! Now I'm trying to make it useful.
I've got a usb host cable which works pretty well in Cacko land with both a USB mini mouse and my 'The Virtually Indestructible Keyboard'. In OpenBSD, neither of these work. Is there some sort of special procedure, either hardware or software wise, to get a mouse to work in X or a keyboard to work in console (and eventually x) ? I've seen some recommendations to plug in the host cable, then afterboot plug in the mouse / kb. This has not worked for me. On a related note, has anyone tried to get an IR keyboard working with Zaurus? I have a universal Think Outside keyboard I'd like to use, which works very nicely in Sharp / Cacko romland. Is it something as simple as pumping the raw datas into dev/keyboard or something like that? And finally, does the Zaurus support multiple consoles like other platforms? I wouldn't know the keystroke [CTRL + ALT + FN normally] to switch. Thanks for all your help, I can't wait to dive into OpenBSD on the Zaurus, and with these few things, I'm getting a little bit closer. I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel! |

More info: booting with the host cable and nothing plugged in, then plugging in either the USB mouse or keyboard gives me the following:
uhub0: device problem, disabling port 2 uhub0: port error, restarting port 2 this goes on a few time until finally uhub0: port error, giving up port 2 With the USB host cable, is it normal to have things coming up as port 2? I guess that's assuming that the Z is port 1. |
