Hi,
I'm not *quite* sure how to get my bluetooth GPS working with my Zaurus - I'm sure I'm not doing something right. The manual that comes with this GPS has instructions for Windows CE devices, and it needs to be configured as a "SPP Slave" (that is, you don't appear to pair to it with a mutual keycode). I'm using a bluemonkey CF card. I know it works, as I can pair to my mobile phone and use GPRS with it, no problems. Any ideas? Thanks, Ryan |

SPP is the Serial Port Profile. Basically you need to setup an rfcomm device to connect to your GPS in the same way as your phone (minus the PPP stuff of course). Then all you have to do is point the gps software to /dev/rfcommX as the serial device to open (where X is the rfcomm number you choose).

Cheers; haven't done it yet with my Z but wasn't as hard as I thought under a Linux laptop - essentially I just need to pair to the device without a keycode. I thought "SPP Slave" would require some further trickery, but evidently not.
