Hello
Just to let you know rc5 is under work. I have had some delays due to a miserable failure in an hardware hack attempt. Meanwhile, I'm trying to figure out why the network icon vanished. I have some interesting ideas, and I will let you know. Guylhem |

Sorry for your screen transplant problems. It was an interesting read, if not as productive as we had all hoped. Anyway, I'm also glad to see the news about rc5 being worked on. I am willing to test, and report results.
As a side note, I would like to suggest a link or other info at guylhem.com for Paypal donations. (Also English pages would be nice for us non-bilingual people.) We appreciate your efforts and would like to see rc5. Thanks!! |

hello
paypal donations can be sent to paypal@externe.net. Any donation is welcome - even if I try to help in any way I can, sometimes not having to justify my costly hobby to my significant other (look darling, it pays for itself !) really helps - like when I purchase and kill clamshells, then give away the batteries to someone who need them :-) When people try to defraud me with non working hardware or keeping my hardware while pretending to have never received it, it also helps :-/ Guylhem BTW - some info about the icon problem. You must edit /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit and decomment the 2 "writerom" lines. Then wlancfg won't work, but that's another story. In any case, I will try to release a rc5 today to ask for feedback, especially about the modules. Guylhem |

Thanks a lot - sorry for the delay, I just want to definitively fix the "power" button wakeup problem.
The modules submitted here have been integrated, along with bluetooth card modules. All I'm left with is the kernel problem and the wlancfg problem. I'll do a release as soon as these 2 are fixed (the rest is simply adding scripts/applications) Guylhem |

QUOTE(speculatrix @ May 8 2006, 01:16 PM) add me to the list of people eagerly awaiting this. I just sold my other Z so now my 6000L is my sole device I am keen to get a fully-featured cacko-like OS on it! I just setup my 6k w/ sharprom + meanie's jumbo pack (on sd). Still needs some configs, but it rocks. (I used an older guylhem "fast" kernel). rc5 withthe pdaxqtrom (squash or cramfs) is definitely the next setup on my 6000 |

Is this RC still in the works? If is there anything that we can do to help?
