For changing font size, try edit /home/zaurus/.opera/opera.ini and add/edit:
[Font.Normal] Height=20 Don't know how to set the column mode. It seems like the column width is hard coded for 320x240 devices. |

Well guys, 7.55 might not work as expected if you installed it over the older version, or even if you uninstalled the older version, and then installed 7.55.
That would mean you still had opera-cseries-fix_7.30_arm.ipk installed, and you probably wiped out the changes it made. So I think you would need to uninstall opera-cseries-fix_7.30_arm.ipk as well at that point. Then install opera 7.55 first, then install opera-cseries-fix_7.30_arm.ipk again. That's my educated guess and theory. |

I don't think you understand what I mean. Here is a screenshot of opera 7.55 in column mode. You see how it only takes up a little side of the screen? It is supposed to fill the whole screen. I hope this is not hard coded in opera. Can it be changed in the ini?
So you don't have this problem with that version of opera, dougeeebear? I may just reflash my Zaurus soon anyway I guess and start fresh. It seems my IR has stoped functioning recently ?!?!

No I don't have that problem, xamindar.
Of course, I had just received my new C1000 and installed opera 7.55 on it. I didn't have a previous version installed. But Cresho had an older version installed, and apparently his 7.55 turned out ok. I don't know what else it could be other than an installation problem. Or possibly the ipk got corrupted when you downloaded it. You could try downloading it again. If you have a good backup from just before you installed 7.55 you could try restoring it and go from there. |

I know this is an old post, but I managed to extract the opera browser section from the SL6000_OperationManual.pdf
Using my very old version of Acrobat, I made a PDF of just the opera pages. It has a lot of relevant information that a new (or experienced) user can use. BTW, this manual for the SL6000 is really cool. It describes a lot of the software, etc. about the Zaurus in plain english with plenty of pictures. I think everyone should get one of these. I had to download the CD-ROM rip from a SL6000 to get this manual. If anyone wants it, I'll zip it to reduce it's size and post it in another thread. Jon EDIT: posted new version of manual, old one had a "stray" zero in the title on last page: Keyboard Shortcuts This post has been edited by Jon_J: Oct 29 2006, 07:12 PM
