QUOTE is it compatible? This part makes me think no... It's no great surprise to learn the 8GB card is based on version 2.0 of the SD card specification - also known has SDHC. It provides an access speed of up to 20MBps, and is formatted using the FAT32 file system. As such, it's incompatible with regular SD 1.1-capable devices. |

I wonder if there are any stores selling this 8GB card. (8GB CF cards are over $299)
Circuit City has 8GB CF card listed for $479.99 That makes this SD card a bargin. It would fit nicely in my Iogear-flashdrive The page linked above says: "Pretec is selling it for a whopping $299" Why is the CF card I mentioned above so expensive? Especially since the author of the Pretec SD card thinks $299 is expensive... This post has been edited by Jon_J: Sep 9 2006, 07:50 PM
