do you mean the c750? I didn't see it on their site... would you mind posting the full url?
I'm tempted to get the 750 because of the price, but I really want the extra ram in the 760... $800 just seems a bit pricey |

I emailed them directly. Here's the email contact brando@brando.com.hk and the conversation I had with them:

How reliable is Brando ? Are they selling original products or grey market stuff ? Honk Kong is notorious for (among other) the knock-off industry. I'd rather not spend $655 on a paperweight.

Good question muscles! I am checking around to see if anyone has purchased anything from them before. As for whether this would be original or grey market product...the chances of a knock-off is slim given it's a rare PDA (it costs money and time to make a knock-off product). IMHO.

mizzle you'd be surpized. People got shafted buying SonyEricsson T68 and P800 phones from Hong Kong. Granted, the T68 is as common as Civic's nowadays but the P800 is not. And both used to be expensive (the P800 still is). Grey market doesn't mean the product won't work: it will for a while. When (not if) it breaks the manufacturer will not service it since it is not an original product.
Brando puts out several legitimate products like a screen protector for various PDA's and a fancy stylus. Since the e-mail says that they do not stock the C760, I'm interested where they would purchase it (before FedExing it to the US). Muscles The Wondercat |

Muscles,
Since C750/760 are Japan only products, I would assume Brando imports the zaurus' from Japan into Hong Kong and then export them to US mizzle |

I was trying to find a way to contact Yodobashi (a direct dealer from Japan) since they list the unit for $590 on their page. But I couldn't find an e-mail address.

But I couldn't find an e-mail address. $590 seems like a great price for the 760! If you purchase it from Yodobashi, will you just use the default Japanese ROM? If you need an english ROM (like I do), could you get just the ROM or source code from dynamism?
Muscles The Wondercat I like the price, and I know dynamisms price is much more, but I'm wondering if the extra 200 is worth the english translated rom... /offroadgeek |

Has anyone ever attempted a group buy from dynamism? I might give them a call about it. Since the ZUG is started, at least some groups might be able to assemble several potential buyers from the same area.

If you do get a response from dynamism, please post the info here. I know that I'm going to buy the 760 for sure, so getting a group discount would be icing on the cake!

Oh that's nice: a 5% discount after a 36% markup. Cute.
Anybody find a way to talk to Yodobashi ? |

Anyone from the Boston area buying a C750/C760? If so perhaps we can setup a demo meeting?
