Subject says it all. What's the chipset on a Socket card?

It's an intersil prism derived chipset needing the firmware to be downloaded on power-on. Which is why hostap and wlan-ng don't work (yet). You need Pavel Roskin's spectrum_cs (based and using the orinoco and hermes lower layers).
No idea about kismet, but once you installed the driver, Wellenreiter II works fine with it. |

Yes it works.
socket lowpower wifi + stock sharp rom (on a sl-c750) + new cross-compiled drivers for socket with monitor patch => so, all you need is get latest drivers + monitor patch and croos-compile and pre-load the module before inserting the card. Hope that helps. zmiq |
