Hi all, I've just got myself a belkin usb-ethernet adapter. It works fine, pegasus drivers are loaded ok and i can ping things on the LAN. I did:
ifconfig inet eth0 up 192.168.254.254 netmask 255.255.255.0 this gets things working at least on my LAN. i guess i need to use route to get access thru my router to the whole net. but, i was just wondering whether there is an easier way......? The lan/wifi settings program that comes with pdaxrom seems to modify /etc/sysconfig/network but i am not sure how to make use of these settings. so i'd just like some pointers. thanks Emil |
