QUOTE(Hiddenface @ Aug 23 2006, 09:27 PM) ... other than that, everything seems to work ... Ah, shouldn't have wrote that early... my wireless lan card (netgear ma701) which i used to do the update doesn't work anymore. Going back to hostap modules 0.3.9 solves that. Whatever... gaim and mini-browser tonight, the rest tomorrow |

Can I get Mplayer bumped and compiled without executuable stack support? 1.0pre8 supports that.

QUOTE(XorA @ Aug 24 2006, 04:28 AM) My SL5500 using the OZ/Opie stable (Not 3.5.4.2.rcX) has Mplayer on SD, plus the libs for it. However, every time I run mplayer I get a responce: CODE root@collie:~# mplayer mplayer: error while loading shared libraries: libmad.so.0: cannot enable executable stack as shared object requires: Error 14 root@collie:~# However, since this is mplayer 1.0pre8, and there's support for not using the exec stacks, all you need to do is pass a switch to ./configure. It's already patched. |

Can I request VIM 7.0 to be recompiled with VIM keymap support included? To someone who uses VIM a lot, this is the only sensible option for editing texts in foreign languages (like Russian in my case), as it solves the problem of having to constantly switch back to English keyboard layout to enter VIM commands to manipulate the text.

I will probably stop OZ/OE work for some time - have to fix my home machine and this need two things: time and money.
Memtest86 passed so it is not memory, badblocks and S.M.A.R.T. tests passed so it is not hdd. CPU (AthlonXP 1.8GHz) has 45-60°C so it is not this. I have to find replacement PSU for this PC and test does it help. If this will not help then I will be out of ideas. Until I resolve those problems I will not work on OZ as I do not like to have to use c760 as SSH terminal. |
