Hi,
I'm proud owner of a C1000. Normally it is flashed with SharpROM 1.01JP and it's working. I tried to flash OZ one week ago, achieved in booting, but I had no chance to enter characters except from non capital letters. I furthermore tried to get USB working with my windows PC but also didn't succed :-( The GUI of the "default" OZ (OPIE) is really much nicer than the SHARP one - looks MUCH MORE like a linux -, but unfortunately I don't have the time to test all stuff until it works and as I'm reading some of you succeeded in installing/using OZ there might be some docu somwhere.... Is there any documentation about what to patch -to get the whole keyboard working (starting from the default image in the download section) -to get connected with a PC (preferably Windows) -to install ko/pi and ka/pi for using the Data stored in /home when using the sharpROM? I would really appreciate help as I don't find enough documentation for my problems and I'm still a bit timid when trying some stuff. THX and Greets from Stuttgart Marc P.S.: I would really PREFER OZ as it is MUCH nicer than SharpROM... |

QUOTE(Hrw @ Nov 3 2005, 10:54 AM) Okay. I tried to... But why are there soooo many files in the feed? I searched for 3 files. And I got 4 of them. Okay, bootstrap-image -> initrd, updater.sh.akita -> updater.sh, but what about the other two... How are those files applied? I think the zImage.akita is the zImage. But what about the big image... how does this image have to be applied? Thx for your answer Marc |

The update was worth it. Congratulations to your job! I'm using OPIE now and it looks really good (more exactly: FANTASTIC!!). I hope to be able to install kopi and kapi soon to reuse all the data I entered when working with the SHARP Rom. Right now I don't know how to connect to a windows PC but maybe I'll find somthing. I even found a hint to install the whole qtopia for windows and afterwards it might work... But I'll find out. Greets from Stuttgart Marc |
