I'm still here, and interested. I'm willing to help pay for the commission, 50/50.

I started work on it today, i have an ear infection so all im doing is sitting on my butt because its too hard to lay down. Might as well work on it right?
just for your information. 1. I will use the original icons 2. dark theme will be implimented but mostly dark brown or grey to compliment icons(i will make 2 types.) 3. find me a few backgrounds i can use but i have 2 in mind already. That way, i can put them up with zaurusthemes as well. 4. will design a new title bar with probably 4 different variations including the shiny balls you posted as well. |

I don't mean to interrupt, but would this theme work in Cacko 1.23?
I've tried other themes in Cacko, but some things seem to get messed up, since Cacko has different ways of implementing themes than Sharp ROM does. |

Heh..thanks! Although I was attempting to come up with inspiration..I tried to make it myself, but quickly discovered that I'm no artist. Please, make it however you feel like, or not at all if it's a bother. I'm sure it'll look great. It seems the backgrounds I posted have disappeared...perhaps this artist can provide you with a suitable background image? I quite like his work.
Many thanks. |

QUOTE(Cresho @ Sep 12 2006, 11:24 AM) No. What I meant was when I first got my Z, I downloaded the Sharp rom themes and used them by mistake in Cacko. When I first got my Z, a lot of things were confusing to me, and I made mistakes confusing Sharp rom and Cacko interchangeably. |

When I posted that post above, I had forgotten how much different Cacko is from Sharp ROM.
I'm happy with the slightly moded theme I have in Cacko. That looks like too much work, don't bother with it now. Other people with Sharp ROM asked first anyway |

QUOTE(Cresho @ Sep 12 2006, 01:28 PM) [...] I need some ideas. [...] Well, I always get inspired by some of the Enlightment Window Manager Themes. Check out Ben's page at http://www.cuddletech.com/e17 to see some "neat" screenshots. The stuff on that page is historical, and the ray traced planet theme I created might be a guide of what not to do experiment with some very original colors, etc. PNG to JPEG removed the detail necessary to "justify" those colors. Keep in mind, that at the time I was in the middle of trying to get a "sun" to look near-realistic, and I was toying with different color planet surfaces. The color of the surface is not indicative of my tastes! I think I coded the surface color as white, but it picked up that unrealistic hue from the "sun"... EDIT: I removed my "ugly" inline desktop screenshot screenshot, it was cluttering this thread in many ways. ( http://www.cuddletech.com/e17/shots/pink_craters.jpg ) |

here is a small update. Right now, im having difficulty fixing the brightness to the way it's suppose to look originally. Zaurus has a bad way of not allowing users adjusting brightness or contrast. It getting there. I just need a few more tweeks and i will have the ipk icon installer available. when im done, ill figure out what to do with the rest of the application icons. Maybee ill leave them alone but not sure. I just want it to come out punching off the line.
here is a quick pick...mind you I am not using the background cuz its the one I currently use on my z. Also, I am working on the taskbar. I am going to add metalic chains....and those black pearl buttons will have silvery - and + added to them but will look chrome with a slight shade to make it look for real. the taskbar and text will also get a face lift. so there will be 3 ipk's to install 1. icons 2. taskbar 3. colortheme. ill probably make 2 (taskbar and colortheme combined)

Wow... Very nice... I'm definitely going to use some of those icons (when posted).
If you created those icons from scratch, you deserve a round of applause in my mind! For some reason, it reminds me of the look and feel of the original Myst game... EDIT: OK, I just found out about the "Kreski -Lines" theme, by reading more posts... Great stuff... |
