This all sounds incredibly impressive, dare I ask how well it works on a C1000? Can it be installed to an SD card?
Is there a link for it yet? I had a little look in the ELSI, but it didn't pop up there. BTW, what's your novel about? |

The xqt jumbo package works well on the C1000 and debian will need to be installed on either a sd or cf card due to the lack of internal disk but it will work. The install script defaults to installing to /hdd3 but you can easily tell it to install to sd instead. all you need is a ext2 formatted sd card with at least 512MB http://www.users.on.net/~hluc/myZaurus/jumbo/xqtjumbo.html links to the files will be available very very soon. (probably tomorrow) hmm, my novel is a scifi story and i got my Z initially so i can work on it anywhere i am such as when waiting for food at restaurant so i better get back to doing it |

QUOTE(Cresho @ Jul 20 2005, 02:53 AM) the xqt jumbo package uses the standard ipk installation and uninstallation mechanism. should simply uninstall like any other package. it may leave behind a few symlinks but they won't hurt reinstallation. the postinstall script does check for invalid links and deals with them. as for debian, its just a matter of rm pocketworkstation or rm -r /hdd3/debroot |
