Just in case anyone missed it, I thought most of OESF would be interested in the recent round up review of various 8 to 64GB compact flash cards by Toms Hardware
http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/compactflash...view-31864.html That mostly answered one of my big zaurus questions, the other is this. What, if any, CF wifi cards are available that support 11g, monitor mode and packet injection? SDIO isn't well supported under Linux from what I hear so I doubt there are any sdio cards that can meet these requirements are there? I'd also like to hear from people with c3x00 who have swapped out there microdrive for a larger CF esp. of the 16GB variety as I'm thinking of getting a 16GB CF for my c3000. I presume that'd be handled OK? Is there a limit? Whats the largest CF anyone has tried as Z storage? I also seem to remember somebody posting a visual guide to disassembling a Z for this exact procedure- upgrading the internal CF of a c3x00. Anyone know if these pics/ guide are still up somewhere? |

If you look through iamasmith's contributions you'll find the howto and photos he wrote. Here is the link iamasmith howto Be aware that the post referred to 3000 specific details. For example there was no copper connection that needed dealing with on my 3200. You need a decent screwdriver, a steady hand and strong nerves!!! Thanks Tux, that was indeed the guide I wanted and its good to hear I'll be fine with a 16GB card, which are dirt cheap now.
Leeds? Thats not far from me. I wonder how many Z users there are in the north or even the UK? Thats quite a list of gadgets you have there- wot no N900? Is that or a Pandora on its way to you? Can anyone help with my search for a good CF wifi card? |

I read somewhere recently (forgotten where, sorry), about someone using a 32GB CF as a hard drive inside their 3100 or 3200.
