Anyone able to get USB networking to function?

IIRC, the 2.6 kernel & 3100 & windows don't work for some reason (this was true in OZ). But on my Linux machine (Ubuntu - Dapper) it doesn't work either. To make matters more difficult, the USB applet doesn't work, however the usb config files that are default seem to be set correctly.

Cheers,
Jerry

I've found these problems too.
Try "modprobe g_ether" on your Z.
This might work for you, It doesn't for me.

g_ether loads fine on USB insert, however I've gotten some seg faults by g_ether on USB removal.

Hopefully, this will be fixed in a future release.

Jerry: maybe you can report content of that 'segfault'? Is it segfault or kernel oops? etc..

why people think that some things will get fixed without their raports...
