I had the exact same problem for a bit. After you flash, hit the hard reset button again. It should fire up nicely. All that lovely Zaurus equipment shouldn't go to waste for so cheap. (Sorry, people who wanted to actually buy this)

OK don't want to come across as rude or anything.
But at $180 you are asking what appears to be the current market price for a clean working 5500, but yours isn't working. Guys, am I wrong on this? |

QUOTE(sunomi86 @ Feb 15 2005, 01:15 AM) If no one makes an offer soon, I'll put it on ebay probably. Peace out. Oh and I'm willing to go down to 150 If you want to try the suggestions of the "hard reset" after flashing and get it working I'd pay $150 for it. But otherwise buying a used not working zaurus, well I'd offer less. Does anyone know if this is a known bug and is relatively easily fixed so he can sell this for the maximum amount of money? Sunomi8 you have my email addy, Email me if you want and we can discuss this further. |

For me at least, I received the exact same screen. All I did was go back and read the instructions. (Highly under-rated bit of text, very helpful) I had the right ones, my CF card was fine, I removed the memory cards, but I hadn't done a hard reset after. Another time I got a different error, with the Hentges rom, but only because I had named the wrong files to initrd.bin and zImage. That may or may not be the case, but I suspect it is.
