What's the deal with the constant (every 10 seconds) refresh of my browser on this web site? I'm using Opera 6.01 on Windows. The constant updating is bit annoying.

the constant updating is because of the Who's Online block. It refreshes the current user list, otherwise it wouldn't be able to list the active members. A bonus feature of this version of the Who's Online block is that it allows for instant messaging between active members.

We can use another version of the Who's Online block, but it doesn't allow for the instant messaging.

If this is not a feature that you and others would rather not have, I'm more than happy to switch versions... just let me know!

Thanks for the feedback.

Can we have it at least not refresh as often? It does get annoying when it does it every 10 seconds.

i think it's hard coded into the module... I'll take a look at it and see if I can make the change. I agree with you.. I think it would be better to have it refresh at 30 seconds or so...
