Sd port and sandisk wireless card Options

Is there any possability of making the new sandisk wireless card work on the sl-c760? I'm going to buy a zaurus soon and would like to use a micro drive on the cf slot, a sd wireless would keep the cf slot open. Is the SD slot SDIO capable?

sorry, the SD slot is not SDIO capable... you can do a search on the devnet forums if you want detailed info as to why... but for now.. the SD+wifi cards won't work on any zaurus... it is kind of a bummer...

Just FYI, there's supposed to be a Sandisk CF card that has BOTH Wi-Fi and 128MB of storage!
(I know it's not much, but it's a good sign of "things to come"!)

aiharper - that's great! That's all I need really for heavy stints of wifi stuff... I would use the 128mb cf to put a few songs on so I can listen to music while online... I use my SD card for that now, but with a CF + wifi, I could use my SD again for the /home...

I'll go there and start looking, Is it software or hardware? Could someone please fill me in as to the kernel situation? openzaurus, openembeded sends me to wiki, Found a link from somewhere to farmilar.

I'm looking for the source where is it?
I'm interested in working on development, as i really need a project to learn from. This seems more my speed since hardware and assembly are my favorite. Any sugestions? advise?

Ok i found it. So it is a no pay no play hardware. What is the point to the secure anyway? I mean is it secure.

Glad to be of service! I see that you are a big CF fan (like myself), I still can't believe that people buy into this cr@p of a new memory format every week, especially since half of them are crippled (hello, S0ny Memory Stick! Didn't you think of the future? Does "640k should be enough for anybody" sound familiar?), and the other half are TOOOO expensive!!

not sure if this is what you are looking for, but there's a doc on the dev how-to site for compiling the kernel...

Is It the same as for the sl-5X00 series? At 22 meg it's almost as big as the one on my pc. :shock:

If i'm being stupid please tell me.
I'm OK with linux, know C,C++,ASM, built several micro controller projects.
I haven't even looked at the linux kernel src due to its size and no clue where to start.
I'm thinking that there has to be alot less to this (sl-c760) than the PC, less hardware, plus all the hardware is the same. Cool toy, good learning experance :?:
I'd like to get past just compileing the kernel.
