Hey everybody,
Thinking of getting the archos pma 430 but have a few questions: 1. Will Divx (converted via divx converter 6.2) play 2. Will Mpeg-4 (converted using nero start smart 7) play 3. Whats the max battery video life if you have all the settings to save power? 4. How do Movies look (as the screen is only 320x240) 5. And last of all does anybody know if this player is available in Black. The most importint questions are 1. and 4. (mainly 1.), any advice or warnings will be greatly appreciated as I am only a few days from buying this, and so know most about the player, points 1-5 are the few things that I don't know, Thank you. |

yes - xvid codec plays fine 2. Will Mpeg-4 (converted using nero start smart 7) play yes - mostly 3. Whats the max battery video life if you have all the settings to save power? 4 hours 4. How do Movies look (as the screen is only 320x240) they look fine and if you have an external screen they are reasonable too 5. And last of all does anybody know if this player is available in Black. not as far as i know - grey only Its a little heavier and bulkier than i would like but I've has mine since April and I'm very happy with it. The organiser functions are a little basic compared to thr Palm I had before but in every other respect (especially network and USB hub functions) its way better. Greekgit |

I love my PMA430. The only problem I had was getting the time to use it. If you get the train and have alot of spare time this is the gadget for you. See below.

I got one a couple of days ago and you know that really deep feeling of regret you get when you've like killed some innocent fluffy kitten or something? ITS THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE! GET ONE! I am just figuring out how to mod my interface and stuff (make the Icons look nicer and stuff). Besides if in doubts about video file formats...
