I have a prism2 based card (AmbiCom WL1100C card) and I'm using the cacko beta rom for the C3000.
Problem is kismet wouldn't work now. wellenweiter works, also tcpdump (when I put the card manually in promiscus mode) but kismet says: [root@thumper: /home/etc/kismet_qt/card_schemes]# kismet_server Will drop privs to zaurus (500) gid 500 No specific sources given to be enabled, all will be enabled. Enabling channel hopping. Enabling channel splitting. Source 0 (Wireless): Enabling monitor mode for hostap source interface wlan0 channel 6... FATAL: Failed to retrieve list of private ioctls 95:Operation not supported wpa_supplicant also fails saying: [root@thumper: /home/etc/kismet_qt/card_schemes]# wpa_supplicant -iwlan0 -c/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf Failed to get own hw address from interface 'wlan0'. eth_get: Invalid argument ioctl[PRISM2_IOCTL_HOSTAPD]: Function not implemented ioctl[PRISM2_IOCTL_PRISM2_PARAM]: Function not implemented ioctl[PRISM2_IOCTL_PRISM2_PARAM]: Function not implemented Failed to disable WPA in the driver. ioctl[PRISM2_IOCTL_PRISM2_PARAM]: Function not implemented ioctl[PRISM2_IOCTL_PRISM2_PARAM]: Function not implemented rmdir[ctrl_interface]: No such file or directory I havily suspect that sometihng is wrong because I upgraded to tetsu's 18a kernel, but I cannot verify. Can anyone input on this? |

one question, where did you get wpasupplicant from, i have been looking for it for ages,
as for the other stuff, i encountered the same problem, apparently the drivers havent even been enabled with scan support or the abbility to get a list of ap's (try using iwlist ap), i think the prisim drivers have been crippled intentionally |

I got it from the original cacko rom files.
I'm attaching it here, please let me know if the WPA stuff works for you. I discovered, after quite a lot of looking around, that the 18a kernel did not contain new prism2 modules, so those are the ones that originally came with the expirimental cacko rom for the C3000.
