Looks like Amazon is taking pre-orders for the expansion slot.

Question... does it include the extra battery? or do you have to purchase a second battery?

I would hope so for 179...though Amazon does not say much about it yet...though on all of the japanize websites that I have found any info on the expansion slot the translation makes it sound like it does...though in translation i get:

Can you please provide the link on pc-connection? Its a foregone conclusion for me that I'll buy the expansion. I only see on the pcconnection site a docking station that's ~$60. I need to get that 4gb CF and the 10/100 cf card, with my 256 mb SD chip.
