I have a 4gb SDHC card and before I flash my Zaurus for the 3rd time I would like to know if it will pick it up.
If not, I just tried angstrong and it sucks. My ambicom card doesn't even get recognized, gui fails every other minute, ect. Please point me in the right direction (I need to be able to use a 4gb SDHC card) I was leaning towards debian but it seems like its a really hard install |

If any version of pdaXrom will work with it, it would be r198. People have complained that it is hard to install, but I found Debian MUCH harder (I think the Debian folks have eased it somewhat now, though).
IIRC, you have a 2GB SD, a 4GB SD, and a 64MB CF, no? You could become stck with uBoot if you don't have a card large enough to do a NAND backup (256MB) onto that is <1GB. HTH, and sorry it's a bit rushed. |

You may want to wait for somebody to confirm that SDHC cards work with r198 before doing anything too extreme, though.

You need kernel 2.6.21 or newer iirc to have SDHC working. I do not remember which version pdaX use (it was 2.6.16 with r121).

I guess no luck for SDHC on pdaXrom, then. You'll have to try Debian or Angstrom, both of which are known to support it.

I presume if you got one of those small USB readers (the kind which look like a small thumb drive only with a slot for a card) they'd work happily with an SDHC card and pdaX?
