If i understand right, in the settings tab i have usb icon and in that applet i have the options ( i think) to mount my cf or sd card as a thumb drive when i plug my 6000 into a usb port on my computer. I have tried this both with the "usb host cable" and the dock without luck. Am I thinking about this correct? does this work for others?

Yes it seems you are thinking correctly about this. My cf card shows up on my desktop computer as a "thumb" drive. You do not use the host cable for this. Your drive has to be vfat formatted if you are running windows on the desktop.

Ok i feel silly. what is the client cable? would that be the cable that hooks into my dock? Todd |

QUOTE(trichmon @ Apr 30 2006, 03:39 PM) Don't worry about - I feel silly all the time... Yes, the cable that hooks into the dock. There is some info here on using the 6000 as a USB key; maybe it helps with pdaXrom too: http://externe.net/zaurus/modules.php?op=m...=article&sid=50 I haven't tried it because I have no need, but it doesn't sound too hard. |

Thanks for the info. Todd Good point - maybe you can get a cable that plugs into the cradle connector on the Z instead of the host USB port? |
