ZUG seems to have to many topics for my liking and so I have to scroll down a ways to get to the off topic forum (which, is my favorite forum, after all). Now that we are using invision instead of phpbb, could we use sub-topics? For example, we could have a syncing section and the boards about linux syncing; mac syncing, etc. would all go into this on section. It might make it simpler and easier to manage and browse through. Of curse this is all just my personal preference--I like to have things organized.

If the forum does in fact support sub categories, then i fully agree! I would like to see a couple more sub categories to be defined (example video stuff, x/qt). Not pushing too hard though, i like the ZUG!

the IPB software does indeed support sub-forums. just take a look at the "Everything Regional" section... each area (asia, europe...) is a forum category and all the relevant forums beneath are sub-forums.
We could definitely do this for the overall forum, but you would then need to go into each forum category to get the quick stats (like whether or not there are new posts, etc.), unless you use the "view new posts" link of course. does anyone have any other thoughts/feedback on this? |
