Hi,
is there any model that works straigth away? I use WAVELine Wireless PCMCIA Adapters from CompuShack (Company doesn't exist anymore). They work fine out of the box (WinCE and Linux, not Angstrom!). Only if you need WPA, then you have to flash their firmware. They are based on the PRISM (chipset), so I gues any card based on that chip will work. Hope that helps x75 |

thanks a lot x75!!
i found a generic prism card on ebay with the following description: Brand New Wireless Card suitable for laptops. 802.11b compliant so will work be compatible with industry standard 802.11 technologies and WEP encryption of 64Bit/128Bit Not compatible with routers running WPA encription Compatible with Windows 98 / Me / 2000 / XP (may also work with other Operating Systems, we haven't tested it on any others but since this uses a common chipset (Intersil PRISM) this should be cross platform compatible) do u think iīll work??? thanks Izzy |
