Xpdf can only view it, is there some software that can mark, comment on pdf files? Either for X or for Qtopia.

But then, How can I read the notes and highlights on my pc? (Yes, work pc, uses winXP)... Any way to convert the xml files qpdf creates to another readable format? This is an exciting thought, if we can fill out pdf forms on the Z. I do not know what ROMs it has been ported to, but I see in the user's manual that you can export to a pdf file, or do a screen capture: " Exporting to PDF Xournal also provides its own PDF rendering engine. The "Export to PDF" command (in the File menu) produces a PDF-1.4 file from the currently loaded document." But I am confused about your question about how to convert xml files created by qpdf. qpdf does not create xml files, it is the Xjournal app that does the creation. If you want to convert pdf image files to another format, then the pdfimages utility from Glyph and Cog will do that on your main Linux box, I do not know if it has been ported to the Z. As I recall, there are screenshot utilities for the Zaurus, but I never used them. sdjf |

My remark was about qpdf2. There, the notes and highlights are stored in a separate xml file. I haven't find any win-dooz application that can work with those files, unfortunately.

My qpdf2 only is a viewer, the notetaking capacity I have is only on my sl6000 and not a facility of qpdf2 but of this version of Qtopia. I thought it only appended to jpgs, did not think it would take notes on pdfs as well. sdjf |
