Because we don't know how you did it?
That said, it looks like the database is pretty fragile at the moment; throwing users at it probably isn't the best idea... |

kind of got privoxy working, 'cept I get some odd errors when clicking on some links.. for example, my previous post was accepted but I got redirected back to index.php, which suggests that the rewriting isn't working fully. hmm. I'm using foxproxy on firefox to dynamically switch proxies (very useful for roaming), so maybe there's something wrong.

agree that privoxy is a bit complicated. my results are the same as yours. links like last post, etc. don't work, but it is navigable once you get the hang of it.

QUOTE(Ling @ Mar 4 2007, 12:10 PM) agree that privoxy is a bit complicated. my results are the same as yours. links like last post, etc. don't work, but it is navigable once you get the hang of it. there are two things that needs changing, the index.php to index.php.down replacement in the html file which privoxy does for you. there is also a redirection header which is generated by the server as a server response, the name of the response header is Location which also needs to be rewritten but the standard privoxy won't do that unless it is hacked to do so... |

I overran my broadband usage allowance last month* so I had to hold off for a while and not upload the squashfs archive from a few weeks ago I was preparing from, but will do so soon. * am allowed 35G but a download went wrong and I rang up nearly 90GB usage, will probably cost me a penalty of GBP50 or US$100!!! |

I use this site and would be willing to contribute as well. What chaps my arse is the lack of communication during the outages. How difficult would be to send an email to Antikx (or anyone) who could post it at tyrannozaurus. We talked about this in December and now the same thing happens again. What's worse with several days of non-hardware related outage that a number of folks on the board could have corrected given admin access. Oh well. Maybe org can post the operating costs or their needs.
