you wanted pics well here thay are, i would attach them here but i get probs trying to upload but thats ok
<<removed link lost the computer that the pics where on>> i think the suspect is that long white thing on the top of the card heres a good pic of that of what iam talking about its that thing on the right of the card <<removed link>> dose anyone know if this is it or think i its not? it would be wounderfull to gain some extra range with this guy (would even be nicer to get kismet working but thats a project i can deal with later.) by the way the antenna that iam useing is a ducky from a Linksys wap11 AP that died This post has been edited by darkpadden: Nov 2 2004, 03:29 AM |

That White thing on top of the Ambicom card must be the internal antenna i touch one end of the ducky wire and boom i jump from floating around 16 to 132 (wireless moniter thats seems a little off ) and noise drops from 8 to 0 and the quality jumps up too that white thing has a patten on the inside that looks kida like this [] -\/\/\/\/\/\/\ [] ( "[]" soderpoints ) but i can only see where its connected at one end (the side with the "-" looking at it right side up)

Actually, that's not your card. I had a 5600, and mine used to do the very same thing. After many days and days of trying to fix it, I finally found a solution:
Buy a c860. I've been trouble-free since |

QUOTE Make any new progress? yeah i made my Z even worse atm and i have no way to test the card if i where to do that mod to it just yet . i tryed to flash my zaurus with another OS and it looks like its trying to flash to a readonly file system and the Z is just not taking it. i now get the 1st "sharp please wait 2 min" boot up screen and stays there for about 8 mins and then the screen dies and the green mail light flashes. when i get this figured out i will contenue with my mod |
