ok, I've just flashed the zynergy 1.1 on my 5600 (similar probs with default sharp install), and I'm having significant problems with networking (BTW, I don't have a pcnet_cs driver for my socket wired card, so if someone know where I can get this, please lemme know
Anyway, the card is recognized just fine. prism_cs is loaded automagically, and I've got a very basic setup working. Settings on de Z: static ip ess-id set (also tried "any") network type infrastructure (also tried ad-hoc) key type disabled gotta primary dns setup (matches my wired computers on the network) no proxy now.... when I hit connect under the globe, I get lot's of fancy blinking lights, and finally "no connection detected" I know this access point works. cardctl ident gives: "D-Link" "DCF-660W" (BTW, I've got a DCF-660W cardctl status gives: [suspended] rebooting, ejecting, `cardctl reset`, and everything else I've thought of hasn't helped. I'm about 4 feet from the access point, so it's definitely not signal strength. I have no idea what to do with iwconfig, so I'm not sure if I need to do something there. Last time I used this card was months ago with the default sharp install, and it worked. I used kismet, and the suckers never worked since then, so I *think* I've got some setting going wacky in the card itself. It did work for kismet, but no networking (wired or wireless) ever worked after that, thus the flash to something else. Anyone have any tips here? I'm losing my mind!!!! Ok, now the real kicker. When I first kicked this sucker in and config'd it (tonight, with the zynergy 1.1 ROM), it came up, and I pinged www.google.com a'ok. Swear to god. Popped open the opera broswer and tried to surf, and no joy. "No connection detected" ever since then. ... -Drew |

Ok, after much frustration, and much reading, I think my card is actually bad. It worked temporarily when I ejected and squeezed the card, but I can't get it consistent, so I sucked it up and ordered an Ambicom WL1100C-CF. Hope I have better luck with this one
